Why does my 6-month-old kitten only pee once a day? Is it normal?

If she has a good appetite and is having normal BMs and is active, she is likely passing urine. It is probably a small amount each time it gets lost in the litter box or is missed with the BM so it is hard to tell the difference. I would confine her and make sure she is not using the bathroom outside of the litter box.

If you want him to urinate more often, you need to get him to drink more water or eat canned cat food. What goes in must come out. Animals won't hold it longer than they need to unless they can't urinate at all. If he can urinate, he will do it as often as his body needs to.

She is at the age where her food intake will naturally decrease because she no longer needs the three meals a day regimen she was getting as a younger kitten. The only thing I would keep an eye on is her urination habits. If she is urinating more and it has a foul odor to it, you may want to get her checked for a UTI. Hi. This may just be a variation of normal for Tiger. But, if it is out of the ordinary, or you feel something is off, I recommend getting him seen. He may have a urinary tract infection or some other medical cause for increased water drinking. Your veterinarian will want to do a urinalysis and possibly some lab work. Good luck.

For some cats this is normal. This is likely the case with Tinkle, because she has been eating like this for so long. They will only eat as much as they need and will maintain a lean body weight. This is only concerning if the cat is too thin. This could indicate a long history of parasitism (worms), or some other condition. If you are ever concerned that she is too thin, then I recommend having a vet doctor examine her for any abnormalities. Otherwise, if she is a 4-5 and acting normal, then it is great that she is so good at maintaining this lean body weight. Thin cats tend to be healthier and live longer than fat cats. There is no correct answer to this question. Some cats urinate only twice a day and others more. There is not necessarily a problem. It may cause him a problem if he holds his urine too long; he can get a UTI, kidney failure, bladder rupture, etc.. Can you not move the litter box back to the original position? That would be my recommendation.
