Kitten's nose cut, swollen, and bleeding again. Does it need a vet?

It sounds like he was hit hard enough in the head and face to have concussion symptoms. He may have fractured bones in his face or nasal sinuses. The blood indicates trauma to his nose which you are seeing by the swelling. This could be inflammation or something is broken. Sneezing is a normal response to inflammation/pain/irritation in the nasal cavity or sinuses. If the bleeding continues, he acts abnormal or extra sleepy, wont' eat or play then he needs a Vet exam. Otherwise you can watch the swelling and sneezing. If there is no improvement by Monday in the swelling he should be seen. I wish Sebastian the best!

That sounds serious. I recommend to get Kitty into see the veterinarian today. Fungal infections and trauma are the main things that come to mind although a tumor or a significant reaction to a foreign object in the nose may look like this. She needs to be evaluated and start the process of figuring out whats causing all this. Unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do as the process is internal. It could have been a scab forming over Josephine's wound, but it is concerning that the wound is now larger than before. She could have been rubbing at her nose causing it to fall off. I'd have her seen by a vet for this problem. If she is rubbing at the wound and interrupting the healing process, it could easily become infected. The vet may decide to give her antibiotics to prevent any infection, and can treat the wound. I recommend bringing her into a vet tomorrow. Put an Ecollar on her tonight in case she is rubbing at it, and keep her as quiet as possible. Difficult I know with a kitten! I will put a link below on how to make an Ecollar at home. If Mimi is still fighting a respiratory infection, the blood coming from the nose could be due to what we call rhinitis (inflammation of the sinuses / mucous membranes of the nose). This is common in unresolved upper respiratory infections. If you are only seeing a small amount and the blood is not profuse, you should be ok to wait until this week to have Mimi seen. If she is showing more blood and the amount if profuse, she needs to be seen immediately by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. If it is bothering Tigre, she may be rubbing her nose on the floor making it much worse. It sounds like Tom has a nasty abscess which is a deep pocket of infection. Unfortunately, without proper medication and wound treatment, this may not resolve or it can cause significant tissue damage. Tom really needs to get to a veterinarian for care and prescription antibiotics. In the meantime while you try to plan for the visit, keep the area open and draining by gently massaging the fluid out of it if you can. This can be painful, so stop if Tim gets too agitated because he may bite.
