My 6-month kitten is lethargic, not eating after vet. What to do?

I would highly recommend bringing her back to a vet. She most likely needs some fluid and nutritional support. This can be a virus that she is fighting off but to fight it off properly she needs nutrition. Her glucose can drop very low if she does not eat and cause seizures and even death. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Sasha! I don't like when cats go more than 2 days with out eating. If she is extremely lethargic then I would take her today, otherwise tomorrow at your Vet at the latest. She could have a fever from an upper respiratory tract infection, leukemia, feline infectious peritonitis or other viral infection. I wish you and Sasha the best!

Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Based on what you are describing, I would recommend she be taken back in to be re-evaluated and have further diagnostics or treatment done. Cats can only go so long without eating before developing liver issues, so we are always concerned when cats aren't eating. I would recommend Socks be re-evaluated by her veterinarian, have any further necessary testing done (xrays, bloodwork, ultrasound) to determine what the underlying cause for her issue is, and start any treatment that may be needed to help her feeling back on track. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lily! Lily is likely having a reaction to the vaccines. If she has a fever she needs to see a veterinarian. When animals have fevers they do not want to eat. Your Vet, after their exam, will likely give her subcutaneous fluids and steroids. Once the fever and the reaction has subsided Lily will likely eat. There is nothing to do at home besides wait out the fever and that may take to long. Cats can not go more than 3 days with out eating or they get sicker. I'm sorry Baxter isn't feeling well. I would recommend a vet visit to check for parasites or viral disease. If he hasn't been tested the vet may recommend testing for feline leukemia as well. If he's not eating well please get him to the vet first thing this week.
