This can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. If this continues or she develops vomiting, I recommend that you have Callie evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. If Milo was drooling that may be a sign of nausea which can be seen with gastrointestinal conditions like gastroenteritis, pancreatitis or conditions such as kidney disease, among others. If it has only happened once, it is fair to monitor him for now as long as he is otherwise doing well with a good appetite and activity level. If this is a persistent issue, or he does not feel well, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck!

I would be concerned about Zapatitos being nauseas, having infection or trauma inside the mouth or even a toxin if possible exposure. I would recommend taking her to a vet to have a good detailed exam to help narrow down why Zapatitos is hyper salivating. It is important to look under her tongue and make sure string is not attached causing a foreign body. Also you can look in her mouth to make sure you do not see any type of sores. Sometimes cats will chew electrical wires and get burns in the mouth or even have viruses that cause ulcers. All of these things can cause hyper salivation. I think a vet visit is best to help Zapatitos feel better as soon as possible.

I highly recommend taking a video and bringing Kitty to your veterinarian for a physical examination and diagnostics. It can be a gastrointestinal issue and he may require xrays or blood work. I would take him sooner than later. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

There are a number of reasons that kitens will drool, but I will discuss a few. Kittens will lose their baby teeth and get their adult teeth in between 3 and 6 months of age. The smaller baby teeth are usually just swallowed and you may never see them. When they are loosing their baby teeth, the adult teeth come in under the baby teeth and can be painful or irritating which can cause drooling. Another possibility if the drooling is only occuring when Nala is kneading is a normal physiological response that can occur with kneading. Some cats grow out of it and some continue it. Finally, cats and kittens can drool if they are nauseated or have a problem swallowing. If Nala has any change in her appetitie, problem swallowing or is vomiting, I would certainly have her evaluated. Are there any plants that she has been chewing on that could be irritating her mouth? If it is getting worse or there are any other clinical signs, she should also be evaluated. I'm sorry they did not examine her when you took her in. Depending on when she is due for her next kitten vaccination, I would certainly recommend having her mouth examined at that time. Good luck! I hope that was helpful. If her temperature is low, it is important to try and bring it back up by placing her near a heat source (but not too close) and a heating blanket on top of towels so that it reduces the risk of burns to the skin from direct contact with the heating blanket. If she is not eating, you should administer 1-2 tsp of a sugar source such as honey or karo syrup and see if this helps. She may have low blood sugar. This also may be infectious and unfortunately the only recommendation for an infection would be to see a veterinarian for the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations. Broken tooth, mouth ulcers, electrocution (does she chew cords?) toxin, GI upset, foreign body, and more can all cause this - and all need some degree of medical attention.
