Some lizard species may be toxic, most are not. Another concern is that Bacchu may become infected with intestinal parasites or liver flukes. Monitor for lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain. These are symptoms of serious illness that should be addressed by your veterinarian. If she is drooling excessively, try rinsing her mouth with cool water for at least 15 minutes then monitor for redness or swelling in and around the mouth.

The cat will not get any viruses from eating a lizard but, she can get intestinal parasites. I suggest you get her vaccinations started and have her dewormed because she needs them but I would not be overly concerned about her eating this one lizard. It should not be harmful to you in any way. I don't know if you are asking specifically about rabies but you do not have to worry about rabies. Reptiles (like lizards) do not get or carry rabies; only mammals.

This honestly depends on the type of lizard. I'd monitor him for any concerning signs including vomiting, excessive salivation, anorexia, and lethargy. If you see any of them, have Simba seen by a vet.

I recommend taking her back to the vet for diagnostics- blood work and radiographs- and more aggressive treatment. It sounds like testing hasn’t been done yet and the fluids and anti nausea meds haven’t helped. Cats cannot go very many days without eating and forcing them to eat can make things worse. Loss of appetite can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. Symptoms to do with stomach upset will happen within 12 hours, whereas symptoms to do with organs such as liver and kidneys can take a couple of days to show. I would be more concerned about stomach upset though.

Some loss of appetite/lethargy can be normal after a deworming, especially if there was a heavy worm load that is now dying off. You can try to entice eating by offering some plain boiled chicken or wet food warmed up as cat's appetites are driven by smell. However, if it's been several days and Layla still isn't back to normal, isn't eating or drinking at all, or is very lethargic, it is best to let your vet know to make sure there isn't another underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
