Some pets will be more active once they wake up from sedation. This is usually temporary and will usually wear off in a few hours. It is very important to try to keep his activity minimal. I would see if you could distract her with a toy that takes less movement (such as some kitty treats hidden inside something), or if you can get her to calm down with some gentle petting or brushing. If she gets too active, distracting her with something that requires less movement may also help. His castration wound looks good, I see no evidence of infection and he is apparently not licking it either. He should indeed be back to his normal self after three days. You may want to take his temperature with a digital rectal thermometer to check whether he has a fever. should he have a fever ( 103+F) he will need to go back to the vet for a recheck. However the whole excitement from being at the vet's, the anesthesia, the drive in the car may just have caught up with him today. If he is not eating, drinking or does not want to play on Monday, I would also take him back for a recheck.

Oh my. THese are symptoms of a severe respiratory infection. After surgery, some pets immune system will decrease, making them more susceptible to getting bacterial infections. Also while at the hospital he may have been exposed to another sick pet, especially if Kovu is not fully vaccinated. He really needs to see a vet as soon as possible. I would recommend taking him in to your local vet as soon as they open in the morning. In the meantime you may be able to get a pediatric syringe and clear out his airway. Also you can use a humidifer or place him in the bathroom with a hot shower running for 15 minutes twice daily to help break up any mucous and help clear up his airway a bit for tonight until you can get him seen!
