How to choose wet food for two cats: pouches, cans, or both?

Yes it is okay to switch back and forth between those two different pouches as long as she tolerates it. If she starts having loose stool then I would just pick one and stick with it. Most cats can tolerate a small variety but some cannot. I hope this helps!

I personally recommend feeding Mila Iams. It's an excellent quality food but it's not as expensive as brands such as Royal Canin and Hill's Science diet. You can also see if Purina ProPlan is affordable for you, that's another excellent food. Each food has a different daily requirement, so I would read the label on the food package and feed her according to that. I hope this helps :-)

The best food with the most research are typically science diet, Purina or royal canin. You can find any formula that is made for young, adult cats to share. They make an optimal care or indoor adult made for young adults

The best plan would be to weigh your cat and use the info on the packets to work out her daily intake if she was on just try or just wet food. If you give her half of the wet amount and half of the dry it will work out as a daily ration. I would leave the dry out for her then feed the wet nice and fresh once or twice a day.

Every cat food will usually have its own recommendation for feeding guidelines based on the ingredients and nutrient density of the individual food. I frequently recommend Fancy Feast, which comes in small cans of around 3oz. 1 can twice a day is plenty for an inside-only cat. If they are otherwise well I recommend you pick a one flavor formulation of high quality brand sch as hills science plan or royal canin and put down one sachet at a time, adding more if this is eaten. Cats are grazing feeders and are likely to prefer little and often, as long a s a complete balanced dry food and fresh water is available at all times they should self regulate their own food intake. Be sure to have more feed and particularly water stations than you have cats to ensure there is no territorial bullying preventing any of them from eating when they would like to

Both dry and wet diets are equally good in general especially for younger cats. I prefer wet food in older cats when I am concerned about kidney disease just to increase the water content in the diet. Good luck and have a great day!
