Can my adult cat and kitten share wet food? Brand recommendations?

Rather than leaving dry food down I would feed each cat wet (canned ) food twice a day (kitten food for Chia and adult cat food for the other cat) and Chia can be fed a third time late at night for a third time. That way you ensure that each cat gets the food meant for it and the amount necessary. I recommend wet food over dry food as it has less carbohydrates and extra moisture. Cats are obligatory carnivores and should rather eat animal protein than carbohydrates.

Science diet and Purina have very good cat formulas for cats. I would find one that is appropriate for your cats age and health status. For example, they make a hairball formula if that is problem or an over weight formula if weight loss is needed there is no benefit of feeding dry over canned, so it is personal preference for that.

I think the schedule is reasonable and fine to stick with. Try to keep the majority of the kitten’s being the kitten food. That way most of the food intake will support their growth and development. If you have trouble finding food in the store, you might look online as you can often find it for reasonable prices. Ideally the kittens would eat all kitten food until they are about 11 to 12 months old. You could also feed a canned food that is meant for all life stages as this will support growth as well. Kittens need food formulated for kittens and they should eat it until they are about 10 months of age. After that you can switch the adult formula. Any major brand name that has an indoor care cat food line would be good. So this would mean something like Purina indoor cat, pedigree, Hills or Royal Canin. If you want to change the food do so slowly as sudden food changes can cause diarrhea and inappetence in a cat. So gradually mix the new food in with their old food, increasing the amount of new food over about a week time.

As they are all different ages, but adults, I would leave out a good quality adult dry cat food such as iams. You could get hills or royal canin but it is expensive. If you want you could supplement this with some wet food daily.

It all depends on what the AAFCO statement says. You will have to check if the food has met AAFCO standards for feeding kittens, adult cats, or all life stages. The crude protein, fiber, etc. is not very helpful in determining if the food meets the nutritional demand of the life stage. The biggest concern with feeding an "all life stage" food is that it gives them too much calories, which can lead to obesity.
