If you have to really feel around to tell where his ribs are, he could lose a little weight, and if the bones are felt with no pressure at all, he should get fed a little more.

Or 1.5 cans twice daily. Then weigh him in 3-4 weeks and adjust the amount you are feeding from there. (If he s not starting to loose weight you may need to decrease to 2.5 cans for example) This is provided you are exclusively feeding him the canned food (ie no dry food also available). Good luck!!
