My cat has a watery eye. Are Optixcare eye wipes good for cleaning?

Optixcare is an eye lube, it won't treat an infection if an infection is present, which is likely the case. you didn't attach a photo to this question so it's hard for me to tell you what it could be, with eyes when in doubt i always recommend a physical vet visit as it must be examined in person. if an infection is present she will need an antibiotic eye drops, this is prescription only anyway so you will need to see a vet for that.

If she has eye discharge, I'd recommend using a moistened clean cloth or paper towel (using lukewarm tap water) to wipe it away and then another clean dry one to dry off the area. I wouldn't worry too much. If she is tolerating you wiping it, just clean it as needed with with a warm wet cotton ball. If she is pawing at her eyes or rubbing her face on the ground, or seems to have any other issue going on, call your vet and get her in for an exam. No, I don't recommend to use this product. There are other antibiotics that are more appropriate for eye infections but you will need to call your veterinarian for recommendations. Clear eye discharge is not uncommon. I would not be worried about this unless the discharge turns yellow or green which would indicate an infection. You can use saline solution or a commercial eye wash to rinse the eyes out daily if he will let you. Otherwise just wiping the discharge away when you see it is fine. I would use a cotton ball soaked in warm water to wipe the eyes and not a Q-tip. They also have pre-made eye wipes for cats if you would rather use that.
