My cat is throwing up constantly and won't eat. Should I go to ER vet?

Unfortunately there are no pain medications you can give him. Many human ones are toxic to cats and are fatal if given. It is very concerning that Peanut is vomiting shortly after eating, and I do not think she can wait until Friday to see the vet. She sounds pretty sick to me, and I think she should see a vet now. Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peaches evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. Hi there. With what you're describing, Sabrina should be seen by a vet ASAP. Vomiting can occur for several reasons, such as pancreatitis, intestinal blockage, viruses, etc. However, because she's vomiting and falling over, it does sound like she has something serious going and and she needs veterinary care. Hello! My name is Dr. Shines and I am worried about Beans. I agree that looks like blood from the photo. Just like humans, throwing up blood can indicate a real problem. Any time a pet vomits blood, they need to be examined by the veterinarian. I recommend to have Beans examined today. Vomiting blood could be due to a bleeding ulcer, severe infection, severe parasites, bleeding disorder, severe pancreatitis, cancer, a foreign object or poisoning. This may not be an exhaustive list. Sometimes it can be related to rupturing a blood vessel from severe vomiting. In that case, medication is given to protect the damaged tissue until it can heal. Bring in a sample of fresh stool for testing. Fingers crossed it's something on the less severe side and that Beans recovers quickly!
