My cat is vomiting, lethargic, and has milky substance in poop. Emergency?

I would recommend having her re-examined and do further diagnostics like X-rays and blood work to determine why. If she is still eating and drinking and energetic, you could wait until Tuesday. Oh no, poor Toffee! She sounds quite sick at the moment, and her vomiting and diarrhea could be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten or toxic, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I see that she isn't spayed, and her symptoms could also be caused a pyometra, which is a life threatening infection of the uterus. When a cat is having both diarrhea and vomiting, it's time to see a vet immediately to prevent her from getting severely dehydrated and sicker. She does need veterinary attention now, please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

I would recommend full blood work including Feline Leukemia and FIV. If that is normal then I would consider maldigeetion and malabsorption blood work (tests B12, folate and 2 pancreatic enzymes and consider an ultrasound of his belly to rule in or out underlying intestinal disease like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or small cell lymphoma. Most IBD cats are treated with a prescription diet and anti-inflammatories. Since he is getting worse I recommend starting a work up. I wish you and Toots the best!

Given that she hasn't eaten for two days and is lethargic and vomiting, I have to recommend that she be seen by a vet as soon as possible. This could indicate a severe disease, or toxin ingestion. In both cases, her condition can diminish rapidly if not treated soon enough. If Sweety didn't eat for several days or isn't eating normally she will pass less stool which doesn't necessarily mean she is constipated. If Sweety is not spayed then I would be very concerned that she has a uterine infection (pyometra) which requires immediate Veterinary care and surgery to remove the infected uterus. This is a life threatening condition. Other possibilities is a urinary tract infection which also require a Vet exam and analysis of her urine and antibiotics. Loss of appetite, vomiting and diarrhea can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Miu reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as she has not improved in the treatments they have recommended so far. Hi and thanks for your post! It is hard to say what exactly the issue with Ollie is sight unseen without examining her first, but I can offer a few insights. Parasites, viral infections (especially if not up to date on her core vaccines), dietary indiscretion (eating something other than her normal kitten food) or an intestinal obstruction can all cause vomiting and diarrhea.
