Hello, and thanks for your question. Poor Boo! It sounds like Boo probably has a urinary tract infection. She should be seen by your vet, where they will examine her and evaluate a sample of her urine to look for evidence of infection. They will set her up with antibiotics if indicated to treat the infection. I also see she is unspayed. Frequent attempts to urinate can also be a symptom of a life threatening uterine infection ("pyometra"), or very rarely a urethral obstruction (though this is much more common in male cats, and quite rare in females). If Boo gets sicker overnight she may need to be taken to the emergency vet. However, these possibilities would be much less likely than a urinary tract infection. Causes of vomiting and diarrhea are: intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, dietary indiscretion, ate something causing a blockage, food allergy/intolerance, reaction to new food/treat/table food, infected uterus or pancreatitis. If she continues to vomit and not eat she needs to be seen before 2 days. I wish you and Toot the best!

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bella is beautiful! My concern is that Bella is not spayed and I am worried about the the mucous discharge you are describing. It may be coming from her vulva. She may have a mucous or pus filled uterus. With her belly being big too that is even more likely to be a uterus problem. Is she has a pus filled uterus (pyometra) that is a surgical emergency. It is good that it is draining. My recommendation is have her looked at sooner than later. Your Vet will likely do blood work and take a belly X-ray. I wish you and Bella the best of luck!

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Jasmine. Poor girl! It could be she has a GI illness causing the vomiting and diarrhea. Likely she has had some loose stools, and it's normal to see a cat act like they are trying to poop but have nothing come out. It's not constipation, it's just she still has the urge to go but nothing comes out. It happens in humans as well who have diarrhea. Unfortunately I cannot recommend giving Pepcid or Miralax without seeing her in person, it's illegal. I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If she vomits the bland diet, the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.

Hi there and thank you for using Pet Coach! It sounds as though Jax has some inflammation in his colon with the blood in his stool. With the constipation it may indicate not enough fiber or hydration in his diet. I would recommend switching the dog food to a food with a higher fiber content and trying to increase his water intake to see if that helps. Vetasyl capsules are something you can also try adding to the diet to help increase the fiber content. I usually recommend Science Diet, Royal Canin, Natural Balance or Purina One for diets. Hopefully this helps! If not, please post a follow up question if Jax is still having issues defecating.

Cats often are not constipated but are having diarrhea. With her age I would be concerned about a disease causing a decreased appetite. I would recommend taking her to a veterinarian for blood work and possible x-rays. At this age kidney disease, cancer and hyperthyroidism are very common. Also bad dental disease can cause a change in appetite. She most likely has an underlying disease that is causing her these secondary issues. I do not think changing her diet will be enough to make her feel better. A veterinarian visit is best. Hope she feels better soon

Ebony may have a condition known as pyometra, especially if she is unspayed and having vaginal discharge. This is essentially an infection in the uterus, which causes lethargy and vomiting, and is very uncomfortable. This condition can be life threatening and requires immediate veterinary attention. Ebony's symptoms can also be due to a urinary tract infection or underlying medical condition. I recommend having her seen right away, there are emergency clinics open 24 hours in most towns/cities.
