Why is my cat vomiting, foaming at mouth, and eyes constantly dilated?

Dilated pupils can be due to pain, nausea, anxiety, ingestion of toxic substances or neurological conditions. If she is eating and drinking and showing no other signs such as twitching or confusion you could provide plenty of fluids and bland food for 24 hours and monitor for any other signs. If she is otherwise unwell she should be seen as soon as possible

However, with the vomiting described I would be suspicious of something gastrointestinal in nature such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, among other possibilities. That does not explain the swollen chin and that may be due to some traumatic injury. This may all be due to a toxicity of some sort for example. Poor kitten! Excessive drooling like that can definitely be caused by nausea, as well as irritation of the mouth, throat, nose, or stomach. Getting into something potentially toxic or bad tasting, flea and tick treatments for dogs accidentally used on cats, or underlying illness can also cause foaming like this. I would definitely take him to another vet ASAP since it is so severe.

He may be having vision problems, high blood pressure or might have had a seizure. If his pupils are wide open, please take him to an out of hours or emergency veterinarian now. He may have high blood pressure and fast intervention can reverse any blindness caused by this. If his pupils are normal and react normally, take him to a vet tomorrow for an exam.

Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Dilated eyes and drooling from the mouth are signs of either a neurological disease, or more likely a toxin. I would recommend getting a large box and a large thick blanket. I would suggest catching your cat with the blanket and getting him into a box, and bringing him into your vet for a check up. If he isn't vaccinated for rabies this could be a concern, as the behaviour is very strange, however as previously mentioned, a toxin is more likely. Best of luck with Autum.

Poor Sushi! This could be caused from pain, fear, or even from certain toxins or medications. Since he isn't eating and his pupils are dilated, I would strongly consider having your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to do blood work on him to determine if there is any type of toxin involved and also be able to get him started on fluids or pain meds if needed. I hope this helps!

Poor guy! It could be a sign of pain or trauma from the event including head or neck trauma, or a side effect of pain medication. If he was bleeding did they find the source of it? Was he given any medications at the clinic (pain medication?) or to take home? Was he appropriate mentally there and then has declined? The problem with kittys getting attacked is that the attacker often shakes them while biting. This can create a lot of shear trauma under the skin that is initially not seen. If no meds have been given i would worry about pain or head trauma. I would recommend calling the clinic that saw him to report this change. The safest thing for these patients is for them to be hospitalized for monitoring because not all problems show up right away. If head trauma is suspected medications may need to be given for this.
