Why is my cat lethargic, vomiting, and has dilated pupils?

It depends on what the cause is. The cat may have gotten into something toxic, infectious, etc. Because the cause is unknown, it is hard to say what the prognosis is. If you are able to, I would try and catch the cat and take it in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Poor Sushi! This could be caused from pain, fear, or even from certain toxins or medications. Since he isn't eating and his pupils are dilated, I would strongly consider having your vet take a look at him. Your vet will be able to do blood work on him to determine if there is any type of toxin involved and also be able to get him started on fluids or pain meds if needed. I hope this helps!

I would recommend that he sees his veterinarian to determine not only the cause of vomiting, but as to why his pupils are dilated and not responding. Cats will typically foam at the mouth of they taste something bitter. Is there any chance of him eating something that he shouldn't have? Human medication, household cleaner, etc? The main thing I would be worried about and cats that have persistently dilated pupils are issues with the right now which is the covering on the back of the eye. Middle-aged to older cats can develop high blood pressure as well as kidney issues that can cause the retina to be damaged, leading to blindness and persistently dilated pupils. I would recommend having your veterinarian examine Athenais's eyes to make sure everything's normal and there's no underlying disease that needs to be addressed.
