Why is my cat suddenly hiding, not eating, and pupils dilated?

Dilated pupils can be due to pain, nausea, anxiety, ingestion of toxic substances or neurological conditions. If she is eating and drinking and showing no other signs such as twitching or confusion you could provide plenty of fluids and bland food for 24 hours and monitor for any other signs. If she is otherwise unwell she should be seen as soon as possible

Poor guy! It could be a sign of pain or trauma from the event including head or neck trauma, or a side effect of pain medication. If he was bleeding did they find the source of it? Was he given any medications at the clinic (pain medication?) or to take home? Was he appropriate mentally there and then has declined? The problem with kittys getting attacked is that the attacker often shakes them while biting. This can create a lot of shear trauma under the skin that is initially not seen. If no meds have been given i would worry about pain or head trauma. I would recommend calling the clinic that saw him to report this change. The safest thing for these patients is for them to be hospitalized for monitoring because not all problems show up right away. If head trauma is suspected medications may need to be given for this. It sounds like he should be examined by a vet to rule out a medical problem. He could have an infection, parasite, metabolic, and/or endocrine disease and your vet can run blood work to help diagnose and the determine if treatment is needed. Hope he feels better soon!

This sounds like he may have hurt himself, when he banged his face. It could also be that he has high blood pressure and that often makes cats temporarily blind. The faster the blood pressure is treated the more likely your kitty will regain his eyesight. Please take him to a veterinarian preferably right away, as either of these conditions (injury or high blood pressure) are signs of a serious health problem. He is purring because he is worried and afraid, and cats not only purr when they are happy, but also to appease other cats and people ("Please don;t hurt me, I am not going to hurt you).

It depends on what the cause is. The cat may have gotten into something toxic, infectious, etc. Because the cause is unknown, it is hard to say what the prognosis is. If you are able to, I would try and catch the cat and take it in to be seen by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. He may be having vision problems, high blood pressure or might have had a seizure. If his pupils are wide open, please take him to an out of hours or emergency veterinarian now. He may have high blood pressure and fast intervention can reverse any blindness caused by this. If his pupils are normal and react normally, take him to a vet tomorrow for an exam.

This can be a sign of a respiratory infection and nasal congestion. It can also be a sign of a corneal ulcer or other trauma to the eye that can be causing pain. Since he is not eating and has potential to have an ulcer, it is best if he gets seen at an emergency clinic tonight to get medication started before he gets dehydrated.
