My cat is vomiting clear liquid. Is it stress from me being away?

Hey! My Siamese cat, Chandler, has been really down recently as I’ve gotten a new job and have been a way a lot. When I come home I’ve realised he’s vomited up nothing a lot. I’m really worried but I don’t know if it’s just because he’s bored or stressed.

It makes me worried that Chandler is vomiting. I would recommend having your veterinarian evaluate him to make sure there is nothing more going on and it is just stress. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can be caused by many conditions primarily gastrointestinal in nature such gastroenteritis and gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. I do not think the vomiting can be attributed to stress or the adjustment to the new pet. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include abdominal imaging and general bloodwork. Treatment would depend on findings. Good luck and have a great day!

That's definitely concerning. Bombay could have something stuck in his intestines, an intestinal parasite, or even a metabolic problem. I would recommend getting him to the clinic this week for an exam and some x-rays to see if they can find a cause. He could also have vomited once because of eating something strange or a virus, and the vomiting itself irritated his stomach so he keeps vomiting - sometime treatment with fluids and an anti-vomiting medication is all that is needed to settle these guys down, but it's important to do testing first to make sure nothing else is going on. I recommend having Kitten seen by his veterinarian based on the symptoms you are describing. He may just have some gastrointestinal upset but there is also the possibility for something more serious such as a foreign body.

My diabetic cat is vomiting again. Is household stress the reason?

Usually stress in the environment doesn't cause vomiting in cats. I would be more concerned Simba could have another infection (Diabetes does predispose him to getting those) such as a urinary tract infection but cats can get gallbladder issues, pancreatitis or even liver infections. If this vomiting continues, Simba acts abnormal at all I recommend contacting your veterinarian to discuss rechecking him and maybe having blood work rechecked on him.

My cat keeps throwing up clear fluid after naps. What's the cause?

There are many, many potential causes of intermittent vomiting in cats. It could be a food sensitivity, partial obstruction, kidney or liver disease, or hairball. I would recommend starting by having your vet perform a physical exam. From there they might recommend checking some lab work and/or taking x-rays. If Butterscotch is indoor/outdoor a fecal analysis to check for parasites might also be recommended.

My cat vomited yellow bile after eating. Is it just an upset stomach?

It could be from an upset stomach, and I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food tonight, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Stress and anxiety can caus them to hide and be scared. She may not be comfortable with your boyfriend. However they also hide when they don’t feel well, which would be my concern since she vomited. She does need to see a vet to see which is the problem but you can help by controlling her environment and limiting stress so she feels safe enough to come out more

If he vomits frequently other times as well, then he should see his veterinarian. If the vomiting is limited to your parent's fights though, then stress is most likely.
