Is this cat treat safe for my cat who takes a taurine supplement?

Fortunately, this is pretty safe, so while it's recommended to give those treats in moderation, I wouldn't be overly worried if Bug is acting normal. I recommend stopping the treats for a few days while Bug metabolizes what he's gotten, and then giving the treats according to the package guidelines going forward. Of course, if you are worried (or if Bug seems excessively sleepy or wobbly on his feet) then I recommend reaching out to your regular vet. But my suspicion is he'll do just fine! Hope this helps!

There are a number of foods that include Montmorillonite Clay. The only medical concern for this ingredient is in animals that have silica bladder stones (which are rare). I don't see any problem with giving her another food as a treat unless she has any GI upset from it. I think some variety in a diet is a good thing. And both those companies are good quality. Hello, Taurine is an absolutely essential amino acid for cats and should be in any diet Coshida eats. A diet without taurine will cause cats to go blind and into early heart failure, as well as many other health problems. I hope this is helpful. Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Everything in moderation. Cats and dogs are actually lactose intolerant so you need to be careful to see if she gets an upset stomach. We currently use the powder formulation for dogs and cats but if they have treats for cats this should be absolutely safe to try. But if this is human grade canned tuna, then only use this sparingly as a treat. Human grade tuna is missing a specific amino acid necessary for a cats health called taurine. Take care.
