My cat threw up and pooped once. Should I worry if she seems fine?

If she only vomited one time and seems perfectly fine then I don't think there is a cause for concern. If the vomiting continues, she has a decreased appetite, or is lethargic then she should be examined by a vet for treatment.

Time will tell with this one. Since she's eating, drinking, and not lethargic, you certainly don't need to seek emergency care tonight. If tomorrow she still seems out of sorts, or continues to vomit, I would recommend scheduling a vet appointment for exam and x-rays of her abdomen. If Smokey only vomited once and is otherwise fine now it's nothing to be overly concerned about. Cats vomit more regularly than other animals, often from hair in the stomach, eating too fast and if they have eaten something else undigestible such as a rodent or insect. Once they vomit up the problem then they are usually fine. When they are lethargic, not eating at all, and have vomiting and diarrhea then I bring them to your veterinarian for treatment. She may have just had a temporary upset stomach or a hairball. No worries. She will groom herself and get the vomit off. Just continue to monitor her for any decreased appetite, loose stool or lethargy. If she continues to vomit then it’s best to have her examined by your vet to make sure everything is ok. I would definitely keep an eye on him, and if he vomits again or doesn't want to eat still, schedule a vet appointment. Issues such as minor GI upset, underlying illness, hairballs or obstructions, parasites, etc can all be possible causes of vomiting, which is why it's important to have it checked out if it continues more than once. If Lando seems in any obvious distress or pain (vocalizing, pacing, attempting to go potty but can't, tender to touch, etc), then he should be seen sooner.

I am very sorry to hear that Cleo is experiencing these problems, I am sure it is very unsettling for you both. There are a number of potential causes of such clinical signs, including dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis, parasite infestation, infection, and ingestion of a toxin or poison. Because you have only noticed these signs over the course of a few hours I would continue to monitor Cleo at home. Rest Cleo's gastrointestinal tract by holding back food for a few hours. Then you can continue with a bland and easily digested food of the boiled chicken breast and provide plenty of fresh water. If Cleo does not improve, has profuse vomiting or diarrhoea, you notice fresh blood, Cleo seems lethargic, in pain or depressed I would advise taking Cleo to the vet. While vomiting and coughing things up is not normal I would not be alarmed over a single instance. If she feels bad it does not eat, continues to vomit or has diarrhea then I would be concerned and have her checked by a vet.
