Today we gave our cat his usual dose of drip/fluids for his kidneys. I noticed that afterwards his tail become fuzzy, like when normaly fights. (photo attached) Is it normal?
The hair on the tail and body (most commonly along the back) can stand up with any kind of stimulation. We most commonly see this in cats when they are fighting or playing and are very mentally stimulated, but it can also occur with other kinds of physical stimulation including some internal stimulation (which might be what happended when you gave him his fluids). I would suspect that the hair on the tail will go down relatively quickly. It may or may not occur when you give fluids again in the future. I hope that was helpful and answered your question.
