My cat is stressed, scratching, and licking after fipronil. Help!

Hello we used fipronil on our car and now it look like stressed , and it keeps scratching and liking . What should we do thanks

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I'm sorry to hear Marlano may be having a reaction to fipronil. If it was applied recently, I would bathe him in dawn or some equivalent gentle dishwashing liquid. This can help decrease its contact on his skin. If it has been several days since it was applied, I would still recommend bathing him, but would also recommend reaching out to his regular veterinarian to see if there are any medications that he may need in order to feel more comfortable and less itchy.
