Cat sick after boarding: pink eye, drinking, sleeping. What's wrong?

Hi. He could have an upper respiratory infection that goes around boarding facilities sometimes and are unavoidable. But he sounds pretty sick qnd needs to be seen asap. Could be more then just an upper respiratory infection.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I know it can be really stressful to come home from a vacation and see that your pet has an issue after boarding. It looks like your cat had a stressful boarding time. This is actually quite common. Cats don't always do very well in new environments and can stress out their immune systems very easily. This could be the cause of the goopy eyes and the blisters in the mouth. The spot on the nose could be from rubbing her face on the bars due to stress. It looks like something that you could wait to take your cat to the regular vet, so I would not worry about that. Let her relax at home and give her plenty of food and water and quiet time until you can get her to the vet. Yes he is, Merino suffers most likely from an upper respiratory infection, the vomiting might not be related, probably just because of the car ride. you will need to take him to the vet in order to get an antibiotic course for him, which he will need in order to get better.

Yes, I would suggest that you have him checked over so you could have some medications for his eyes which otherways might not get better. It could be just a viral infection, cat flu. It could be secondary to the vaccination , a bit like with the human flu vaccination but It depends on which vaccination he had. Hope Salam gets better soon !

It sounds like poor Ghost has a lot going on. I would be concerned that he contracted an infectious disease of some sort while away. Because of his age I would be most concerned about intestinal parasites or parvovirus. I would recommend taking your puppy back to the vet to be examined since his symptoms are getting worse. Hello, there is not a photo attached which could help significantly. When pets are boarded, communicable things like viruses and parasites become more likely causes of illness. Please try reposting with a photo and we will try our best to help you. You may also consider having Willow examined by her normal veterinarian which may give you the best and most accurate answer. It is very possible it is a viral illness, in which case supportive care (giving fluids, treating secondary infections or fevers, continuing to get her to eat and drink) are needed as the virus runs its course. Making sure Katniss is away from other pets is also good to prevent the spread of the illness. If she goes downhill again, doesn't want to eat or drink, or is still very weak or ill, she may need to be seen by your vet again or kept in the hospital on fluids and other treatment for a few days to help her recover.
