My cat has a sensitive bald spot with a red dot. What is it?

This could be from a tiff indeed. I would observe it for a few days. If it starts to swell or does not start healing you should have it examined by your vet. If it starts healing it should be fine. Do not put anything on it, just leave it be.

The black spots could be due to flea dirt, and scratching the area could cause the bald spot. Fleas don't live on the cat, they actually live in the environment. They just jump on the cat to feed and then jump off, so he could have fleas even if you don't see any. Make sure he is up to date on his flea treatments if he's not. Should he be up to date on his flea treatments, then this could be due to an injury (the black spots could be dirt), or an infection of the skin. In this case, you have two options. You could take him into the vet to get it examined and diagnosed, or you could watch it. Should you chose to watch it, take him into the vet if it gets bigger, appears infected, or starts to bother him. I don't think any immediate treatment is needed should you chose to watch the area. It's small, and I don't see any sign of infection, so I don't recommend a vet visit at this point in time. I would leave it be, and see if it heals. Hello. It is very difficult to know exactly what this might be, but it does resemble a healing abscess. If she is constantly licking the spot, then you might want to put a light Elizabethan collar on her to prevent further self-trauma. But, if she is not bothering the area, then just keep an eye on this for the time being. Anything you put on it will just get her licking it off & perhaps doing more damage to the skin. This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea Ellie regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy.

From what I can see, it looks like a small scar. If it's not swollen, has discharge, or feels warmer than the rest of him, I would keep an eye on it. The next time your cat is in for his annual visit, show it to your vet, but it doesn't look like anything to be concerned with from these photos.

I don't think I would be overly concerned about this at this time. I suggest you monitor that area for now. You can apply a topical antibiotic ointment/cream if you'd like twice a day. If it doesn't get better after 10 days or so you should have your vet check her out.
