My cat is pregnant. How long until birth & when will she make milk?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 25 days old | 9 lbs

My cat is 54 days pregnant. I was wondering how many more days till the babies come. I also noticed A LOT of movement in her belly yesterday so is this a sign of a lot of kittens? I also am adding a picture from yesterday where you can see her belly so hopefully you can give me an idea of how many there might be. This is her first litter so I'm not sure. Lastly, when is she going to start making milk? I haven't noticed anything on her nipples. Thank you!

She does look quite full! She should be pregnant for 64 days and will start making milk after the kittens come. The only way to know for sure how many kittens are in there would be an x-ray at the vet. Good luck with the the babies!!

    I wouldn't introduce the kittens to the pregnant cat until her kittens are born. Most cats do not produce milk until 1-7 days before birth and it wouldn't be enough. I would bottle feed the other cats kittens until the others are born.

She's due very soon, as cats gestation period is generally 58-64 days give or take. Their uterus is actually V-shaped, and each horn can lie along either side of her belly. Once she has weaned this litter of kittens, I strongly recommend getting her spayed to prevent further litters and a number of health problems that are more likely to occur if she is not spayed.

Gestation period is 63 days for cats, so you can probably wait it out. Cats do not usually need help giving birth, just make sure she has a spot that she likes and where she can have her kittens. If you really need to know whether Lainie is pregnant, you should take her to your veterinarian for a pregnancy exam (x-rays or ultrasound, or even palpation). She may let the vet check her.

If she mated 80 days ago then it is unlikely she is pregnant from that mating as the average gestation is about 65 days. You could have a vet examine her and do an ultrasound or x-rays to see if she is pregnant.

Hello. It is very difficult to say if she is or is not pregnant from these pictures, because if she is only carrying 1 or 2 kittens, then she would not be as big as one carrying 4-6 kittens. And if she is truly 68 days into a pregnancy, she is overdue. If she does have kittens you should be able to rub on her abdomen & feel some substantial "bumps" at this point in time. Pregnant cat 63 days: nipples smaller, lost appetite. Should I worry?
While some people notice a change in the nipples when a cat is pregnant it is not a very accurate predictor. I think you should see a veterinarian to confirm the pregnancy and make sure the kittens are okay and not in distress. Occasionally cats will need help with labor either through medical management or a c-section and if she is 63 days today it would be a good idea to check for signs of fetal distress.
