My cat looks pregnant, but it's been 80+ days. Is she pregnant?

My cat mating done in Mid of JAN, she look pregnant but days are more than 80 pass It’s possible

If she mated 80 days ago then it is unlikely she is pregnant from that mating as the average gestation is about 65 days. You could have a vet examine her and do an ultrasound or x-rays to see if she is pregnant.

I suggest you have your female spayed now and your male neutered, if you do not want kittens. If you want kittens, then I suggest you have your queen examined by your vet approximately 22 days after the mating. Your vet will do an ultrasound and should be able to see the fetuses. An x ray can be done around 45 days. Another telltale sign is the enlargement of the nipples and they will turn very pink at around 3 weeks pregnancy, however, this is not a 100% proof of pregnancy. A cat's pregnancy lasts nine weeks or around 63 days.

Great question! Jazzy won't show any physical signs of pregnant until she is at least a couple of weeks pregnant. I would wait at least 45 days after she mated, and then have her seen by a vet for x-rays. The x-rays will confirm she is pregnant and how many kittens she is carrying.

She could definitely be pregnant, but it's impossible to know from your timeline how many days along she would be. X rays or ultrasound may be able to give some idea later in the pregnancy. If you don't want the responsibility of caring for and finding homes for the babies, I'd recommend taking her to the vet right away to be spayed. Good luck!

Hello. It is very difficult to say if she is or is not pregnant from these pictures, because if she is only carrying 1 or 2 kittens, then she would not be as big as one carrying 4-6 kittens. She very well may be pregnant. Her belly does look abnormally big there. Watch for signs of pregnancy such as mammary gland engorgement, continued weight gain, increase in appetite. Also you can have her seen by your vet for an exam to check for fetal heartbeats or to identify the fetal skulls, via radiograph (as early as 45 days gestation). If she is suspected to be pregnant then it's also best to feed her kitten food which is going to satisfy her high calorie requirements and ensure she makes a good supply of milk for her kittens. Cats can go up to 68 days of pregnancy, so I wouldn't worry just yet. Set up Mano in her own room with a nesting box, food, water, and litter. Have her seen by a vet if she reaches 69 days of pregnancy with no signs of going into labor.

Have her physically examined y a veterinarian. An abdominal ultrasound should be able to confirm a pregnancy. At this stage, if she is pregnant, her nipples should be enlarged and darker and she should be putting on weight. It is possible for her to still be active.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I can't tell for your pictures either if Jinx is pregnant. She wouldn't be uncomfortable or even nesting until the end of her pregnancy. And at that time it would be obvious: big belly, developed mammary tissue. If she isn't pregnant she could be in heat as they are more affectionate and vocalize more. Cats are only pregnant for 60 days, so if you still think she is pregnant you can take her to the Vet for an exam and X-rays towards the end of the 60 days to confirm. Otherwise if she keeps panting that is NOT normal in a cat and she should be seen. I wish you the best!
