Why does my cat have a spot on his nose? What's the cause and cure?

From the pictures, it looks as though what you are seeing may be from trauma. Cat scratches to the face commonly occur on cats that are outdoor cats. Many times the hair will not grow back and the cat will be left with a small scar. If canto is indoor only and the nodule is raised, I would say get a vet to examine him to see for sure what it may be. It could be from a bug bite or a skin tumor of some type. If you cannot get to your vet right away, I would say just monitor for now and if it worsens get him seen sooner. It does not look infected or swollen from the picture. I would monitor for signs of infection which may include swelling, redness, painful to the touch, discharge, etc. I hope this helps! It looks like he may have a dermatitis on his nose which could be secondary to a bacterial infection, trauma, allergic reaction, or possibly a fungal infection. He should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can do a culture, if needed to help diagnose.

I still think that a focal infection or traumatic lesion is more likely. You can use a topical medication like Douxo 3% PS pads which you may find online. You can apply this to the affected area twice daily for 2 weeks. If this does not resolve or appears to be progressing, have Lovey evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It could be a mild bacterial infection or it could be the start of ringworm (less likely if she is an indoor only cat). The other thing that can happen, especially in white cats, is skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma). I think it would be best for you to have Chloe examined by your vet to be sure.

I would recommend that you have B examined by a vet. These types of spots can be caused by bacterial infection, allergies, autoimmune disease, cancer, fleas or mange, among others. The vet will do an exam and may recommend a skin biopsy to see what is the cause so that B can receive treatment.

I think this looks like a scrape or potentially the beginning of a skin infection. I can't think of a link between diarrhea and a skin lesion like this. If this spot gets larger or you notice more skin lesions I'd recommend rechecking with your vet. If it is a scratch it should resolve without treatment in a week or two.

Poor, Tommy. His nose looks very painful! There can be many potential causes for this, including fungal infection, bacterial infection, mites, contact allergy, autoimmune disease, or cancer. I recommend that he see a vet as soon as possible. The vet may recommend diagnostics like cytology to look at cells under the microscope, or cultures to figure out what could be growing there. Medications may be prescribed, like antibiotics, anti-fungals, or ant-inflammatories.
