What causes dry bleeding spots on my cat's ears, nose, and eyelids?

This is probably caused by an allergic reaction. first of all make sure you de-flea your pet regularly every month with a high quality spot on (ex. Advantage) as fleas are by far the most common reason for these reactions. If the fleas are not the problem, it could be an allergic reaction to food or an environmental factor. this is more complicated to treat and will sometimes require medications such as Steroids, anti histamines or cyclosporin in order to stop the allergy.

It could be a mild bacterial infection or it could be the start of ringworm (less likely if she is an indoor only cat). The other thing that can happen, especially in white cats, is skin cancer (squamous cell carcinoma). I think it would be best for you to have Chloe examined by your vet to be sure.

Trauma would be most common - either from rubbing on something, scratching himself, or potentially from fight wounds. If he has been itchy or if you notice other similar areas I'd recommend having David examined by a veterinarian. Occasionally skin infections from allergies can cause macular lesions.

This scratching may be due to allergies, an ear infection (she could also be shaking her head), or a skin parasite. With allergies, you may also note, but not necessarily, pink skin, hair loss, tiny bumps, hives, and constant licking/scratching. All of these can be medically managed. Emma may require a few diagnostics to rule out different causes for this which may include a skin scrape, cytology, and fungal culture. Other diagnostics may include an ear swab incase your veterinarian is suspicious of an ear infection. Monitor for a head tilt, droopy lower eye lid, different size pupils, and a raised third eye lid as all of these may be more consistent with an ear infection. The best way to diagnosed and treat these conditions is by visiting your veterinarian to have some tests performed. The spots could be from your cat itching excessively at her ears, or they could be a little bruises under the skin. It is difficult to know which is going on based on the pictures. I would recommend taking your cat into the vet because if it is bruises this could indicate a bleeding or clotting disorder. Hopefully it is nothing too serious going on, but I would have it checked out just to be safe.

Is your pet itching or scratching at its head/ears? Outdoor kitty with the potential for being in a fight or being wounded? These could be excoriations/superficial wounds. If your pet is scratching/itching a lot than these could be caused by an ear infection (bacteria/yeast/ear mites) or allergy (food, flea, etc.), etc. Some medications older cats take can also cause an itchy face, so if your pet is taking a new medication this could be the cause and you should alert your veterinarian. As the lesions appear raw and ulcerated the best plan would be to have your pet seen by your family veterinarian for an exam and ear assessment. First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment, then ask the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation. If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try to discover the cause of the allergy. Three main type of allergies are usually affecting pets: food allergies, flea and parasite related ones and environmental type (allergens coming from trees, pollens, dust etc etc). Some medications can be given by the vet in order to repair any possible skin lesions (like steroids and antibiotics).
