My cat is sick with diarrhea. Is this new spot on its nose a concern?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This is possibly an infection. However, this is a somewhat common location for a tumor in cats as well. I still think that a focal infection or traumatic lesion is more likely. You can use a topical medication like Douxo 3% PS pads which you may find online. You can apply this to the affected area twice daily for 2 weeks. If this does not resolve or appears to be progressing, have Lovey evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. From the pictures, it looks as though what you are seeing may be from trauma. Cat scratches to the face commonly occur on cats that are outdoor cats. Many times the hair will not grow back and the cat will be left with a small scar. If canto is indoor only and the nodule is raised, I would say get a vet to examine him to see for sure what it may be. It could be from a bug bite or a skin tumor of some type. If you cannot get to your vet right away, I would say just monitor for now and if it worsens get him seen sooner. It does not look infected or swollen from the picture. I would monitor for signs of infection which may include swelling, redness, painful to the touch, discharge, etc. I hope this helps! Oh no. Poor guy. The lubricant should not have caused him to have a nose bleed. I suspect there is something else going on here, possibly an adverse reaction to some of the medication he is on, or a separate issue altogether such as rhinitis or a bleeding disorder (rare but still a concern with random unexplained bleeding). I would highly recommend taking Biff back in to your veterinarian as soon as you can for additional testing and treatment based on the results of his tests. I hope that Biff will be ok. Hello, thank you for using PetCoach. This bump on the ear is very round and discrete which lends itself more to being an allergic reaction, a cyst, an abscess or some type of tumor. It does not look like trauma especially if there is more than one of these bumps. The diarrhea could be related if the lump(s) are related to an allergic reaction. Any time a cat has a lump on them it is best to have them examined by a vet. If it is not bothering her you can wait a day or two to see if it resolves on it's own but if it doesn't then she needs to see a vet. Thanks for reaching out! That area does not appear abnormal. It may be that she scuffed a small amount of hair off or had a scab that fell off. The skin looks very normal and healthy. I would just monitor it for changes in color, itchiness, or if it begins to progress and notify your veterinarian if so.

Trauma would be most common - either from rubbing on something, scratching himself, or potentially from fight wounds. If he has been itchy or if you notice other similar areas I'd recommend having David examined by a veterinarian. Occasionally skin infections from allergies can cause macular lesions.

I see the little bald patch, and I wouldn't get too worried about it. Monitor it for now, and have it checked out by a vet if it gets bigger or starts to bother Joni. She should see a vet for the diarrhea since it's been going on for longer than 24 hours.
