My cat has spots on her nose. What's causing them and what to do?

I would recommend taking Snow White to a veterinarian. This can be anything from a bacterial infection to a fungal infection (like ringworm). They can take a woods lamp (it is like a black light) to see if it glows green. If it does it is ringworm, if it does not it still could be. Only 50% of all ringworm shows up positive with this test. This doesn't look like a classic ringworm lesion to me, but ringworm can have many different appearances. A bacterial infection or allergy would also be possible. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Noody to determine what the lesion might be.

This can be seen in a few different cases, but I always worry about skin cancer in white cats, so it's best to have it checked out by your veterinarian. I have seen similar lesions when they rub their nose on something, or with certain infections, so I would not be too worried; just have it checked to be safe. It's not an emergency, but good to have her seen in the next week to ensure treatment is initiated early if it's something serious. For now, I do not recommend doing any sort of treatment at home. Trauma would be most common - either from rubbing on something, scratching himself, or potentially from fight wounds. If he has been itchy or if you notice other similar areas I'd recommend having David examined by a veterinarian. Occasionally skin infections from allergies can cause macular lesions.

The mark on Cleo's nose looks like a bit of crusted fur. This could be due to a scab from scratching herself, or could be the start of a mild bacterial or fungal infection. As long as it doesn't seem to be bothering her, it's perfectly reasonable to keep an eye on it for a week or two before taking further action. If it gets better - problem solved! If it stays the same or gets worse, it would be best to have it checked out by a vet. During the exam, your vet may need to scrape a sample of skin cells to be examined under a microscope to get to the bottom of this issue. I hope that everything goes well!

From the pictures, it looks as though what you are seeing may be from trauma. Cat scratches to the face commonly occur on cats that are outdoor cats. Many times the hair will not grow back and the cat will be left with a small scar. If canto is indoor only and the nodule is raised, I would say get a vet to examine him to see for sure what it may be. It could be from a bug bite or a skin tumor of some type. If you cannot get to your vet right away, I would say just monitor for now and if it worsens get him seen sooner. It does not look infected or swollen from the picture. I would monitor for signs of infection which may include swelling, redness, painful to the touch, discharge, etc. I hope this helps! I would recommend that you have B examined by a vet. These types of spots can be caused by bacterial infection, allergies, autoimmune disease, cancer, fleas or mange, among others. The vet will do an exam and may recommend a skin biopsy to see what is the cause so that B can receive treatment.
