Unfortunately there is no topical numbing oral solution for cats that I know of but something such as Sucralfate may help alleviate the ulcerations inside of the mouth. I would discuss this with a veterinarian as you will need a prescription to get Sucralfate. If she has stomatitis, she may need to have all of her teeth removed to help resolve this problem. Tota has to see a vet for his dental problems, as he may need a dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing to treat his gum and jaw inflammation. Hello, I'm sorry you're having to deal with this issue. This looks like it could be what's called a rodent or indolent ulcer, but something called an eosinophilic plaque is also common. Sometimes steroids are needed other times in antibioticd and sometimes both steroids and antibiotics are needed. If you're not satisfied with your current veterinarian I would consider getting a second opinion or seeking out a cat only practice

It is hard to say what this is exactly without seeing Squid and his sores. He may have traumatized the area and it may now be infected. He may need oral antibiotics or other medications from the veterinarian to get these sores to heal as this area is difficult to medicate topically. It is difficult to medicate topically because Squid will likely lick off the medication quickly. Therefore, you will need to make sure that any topical medications used, if they are used, are safe to ingest.
