Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 8 months old | 7.5 lbs
My cat suddenly collapsed and started to breathe heavily. The vet said she had Pulmonary edema and that 2/3 of her lungs were filled with fluid. The cat also had a temperature of 41.3. The vet also said that this happened because the cat had a virus that was left untreated for a long time. The cat was given immuno-stimulators, antibiotics and diuretic injections daily for a 7-day period. She seemed ok but 2 days after no injections were made, her fever came back and so did the breathing.
