Post-declaw: Why is my cat licking and shaking her paws?

Keep an Ecollar on Marvel to prevent her from licking her paws, and keep her confined to a small room or crate to limit movement. I'd keep them out of the room when you eat so they don't go after your food.

It is still quite early to see a 100% bounce back to full use of the declawed paws. Sometimes it may take several weeks to see a full recovery. Ouch, poor Static! Yes, she may have some pain still. I broke my humerus almost 12 years ago, and I remember how painful it was, even after surgery. I had trouble getting comfortable trying to sleep. If she has pain from the broken humerus, it may hurt to put pressure on her paw because it's putting weight on the leg. It does not mean her paw is broken. You can have her vet x-ray the paw to be safe, and talk to the vet to see if any pain medications might be beneficial to her. I hope this helps!

Increased pain and limping 5days after surgery may indicate infection in the wound, and she needs to be assessed by a vet for pain relief and possibly antibiotics. Given she has had an anesthetic, surgical trauma and pain and post operative medications the risk of any additional treatment to kittens would be minimal

I think it's likely something recent. Limping means Lily is in pain, and unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give her. Many human ones are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. I would take her into the vet in the morning for this problem. Rest her tonight as much as possible. No running, jumping, or playing.

The pictures came out blurry so I am not able to see the surgical sites very well. If the toe pads look more red than the big/main pad, if there is any discharge, or if Simba seems more painful than expected, then it is possible there could be an infection. Since this was a recent surgery, I would call the vet to see if you can pop in for a quick look.

I would keep Marvel in a large crate or a small room by herself to rest up. She will need a litter box filled with shredded newspaper during this healing time. She should be kept alone to restrict movement. Your vet will give detailed discharge instructions. Have the person checking on her follow these instructions.
