My cat isn't using her paw after declawing. What should I do?

Given she has had an anesthetic, surgical trauma and pain and post operative medications the risk of any additional treatment to kittens would be minimal

The dewclaws in the back may have been loosely attached which the operating veterinarian thought it would be best to have them removed. You would have to speak with the veterinarian to know for sure. Give the pain medications as directed and try to keep her quiet. The more she moves initially, the more pressure on her paws which will result in discomfort. I think it's likely something recent. Limping means Lily is in pain, and unfortunately there are no OTC pain medications you can give her. Many human ones are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. I would take her into the vet in the morning for this problem. Rest her tonight as much as possible. No running, jumping, or playing.

The pictures came out blurry so I am not able to see the surgical sites very well. If the toe pads look more red than the big/main pad, if there is any discharge, or if Simba seems more painful than expected, then it is possible there could be an infection. Since this was a recent surgery, I would call the vet to see if you can pop in for a quick look.

Hello. It appears that Calvin’s surgery was incomplete. A portion of the nail bed must still remain and nail tissue is growing. You will have to have your veterinarian go back in surgically and remove the nail bed tissue that was left behind. If this is not taken care of, he will continue to grow new toenail tissue and will be at risk for constant infection and discomfort.
