My cat had one kitten. Why no more after 18 hours? Is she in trouble?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

My cat gave birth to her first kitten 18 hours ago but hasn't given birth to the others yet. The first kitten was born dry and she had troubles so I had to help her but she seems fine now, except for not having any others. Is there something wrong with her?

18hours is not normal, if there are more kittens inside her this is now a medical emergency and is at high risk of infection, threatening the life of both mother and kittens. Please arrange an urgent vet check for her
