Since I just got Naia and her vet appointment isn't till Saturday I was wondering if 7 month old cats need special food or if they can eat adult food? Also, how much shoule I be feeding her?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Mina. No, it's not ok to feed to a 7 month old kitten. She isn't old enough for an adult food until she is 12 months of age. Iams is an excellent brand of food, it's what I feed my cats and dogs, so I would get her Iams kitten food for now. I hope this helps!

Bailey needs a kitten food. Kittens need higher amounts of protein, calories, and calcium than adult cats, and an adult cat food is not formulated to meet those needs. He is pretty close to a year, so you can try mixing together adult and kitten food. I hope this helps.
