How to get my older cat and new kitten to sleep together in my bed?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 21 days old | 3 lbs

Hello. I have 14 years old cat and a new under 2 months kitten. They are getting along pretty well in 3 days but the old one sometimes wants to play with little one, but other time he lets the kitten chase him. They have been on the same bed where one of them was sleeping and I was wondering if it would be possible to get them both sleep in my real bedroom, where the old one also spends most of his time in.

Your kitties are so cute! Yes it's possible to get Kiki to sleep on your bed, but given she is a young kitten, she may be more interested in playing at night than sleeping. When you go to bed, you can try bringing her in with you and your other cat, and give her treats when she lays down on your bed. That way, she associates your bed with a good thing, and may be more likely to lie down there. Keep in mind that cats and kittens can be finicky about where they sleep, and she may sleep there for a while, then move to a new favorite spot. This is completely normal. As she grows older, she may chose to want to sleep on your bed more, but for now, giving her treats when she is on it will provide a good association with being there and make it more likely she will want to lie on the bed. Try putting the bed somewhere else to see whether she likes the bed. She just might not like it. Kitties are funny....give them a cardboard box and they will instantly jump into it and claim it....but give them what we perceive to be a great bed, and they may not like it. If the bed is to serve as her regular sleeping place put it somewhere where she likes to spend a lot of time or feels very safe. She needs to find the bed herself. Cats cannot be told what to do....they are the boss. If your kitty finds the bed comfy and likes it, she will sleep in it. However, your bed is big competition. Raven is beautiful.

Can new kittens sleep alone in their safe room with adult cats?

it is ok to sleep with your adult cats most of the time. Eventually the kittens will probably come lie with you as well. In the beginning there will probably be hisses etc. but eventually over time the cats probably will take turns. Do not lock them inot the 'safe room', keep it open, so they can start to get more couragsous venturing out and start to interact with the adult cats. It will take time, but eventually they will all at least tolerate each other.

Is it safe to move my kitten's night sleeping area due to allergies?

At such a young age she should adapt very well to such a situation in a few days. I would use a covered box (possibly with hot water bottle depending on where you are) to help her snuggle up and settle and ensure she has easy access to food, water and litter tray in her resting area - I would feed her here at mealtimes to build a positive association. Plenty of active play throughout the evening can help to promote sleep also

Why does my cat move her kittens to my bed? How to keep them safe?

Unfortunately, when a momma cat feels someplace is safe, she'll be pretty adamant about bringing her kittens there! Apparently, the bed, and you are her safe spot. You may try making a "nest" for her out of pillows or a blanket from your bed and placing it next to the bed so it smells safe like you, but you can't crush it. You can also try making a pillow "wall" to keep yourself separated from the babies as well if you roll over in the night. Otherwise, just trying to make someplace else more enticing should encourage her to move them again.
