My kitten & cat have soft, runny poop. Coccidiosis or contagious?

Koko may have intestinal parasites still or colitis. She may have some food indiscretion or sensitivity. I suggest you take a fresh stool sample to your vet for a fecal exam. If she has parasites, she will need to be wormed/receive medication against the type of parasites present, again. sometimes worming has to be repeated. If she has a food indiscretion you will have to change her diet. Best to take her for a recheck to your veterinarian and discuss diet options with him.

Since Nala is continuing to have diarrhea with blood, I would be concerned. I would recommend bringing her in to see your vet so a fecal analysis can be performed. Coccidia can often be seen on a fecal exam. There is always a possibility that this could be what is causing the problem, as well as other intestinal parasites. if she does have coccidia, she will need a different medication in the typical dewormer.

Yes, they can have Giardia or coccidia without any signs of disease and it can be missed by the lab depending on the test. There are a few different possibilities with what you are describing though. I recommend having both kittens examined by a vet as soon as possible, as it is likely that the condition is contagious. To speed up the diagnosis, I recommend bringing a stool sample from the sick kitten in a disposable container for your vet to check for parasites. It is important to have the sick kitten evaluated as kittens can quickly become dehydrated and have low blood sugar, making them feel even worse. While it is unlikely that your son got sick from one of the kittens, it is possible. I recommend that you have him seen by a physician if you are concerned.

I would recommend rechecking a stool sample. Parasites are not consistent shedders so he may also had a different intestinal parasites that the dewormer didn't cover and may need something else.
