Is my 6-week-old kitten's runny poop normal after eating adult food?

The diarrhea is most likely from the formula she is drinking. I would not be overly concerned at this stage if she is otherwise acting fine. I would see if you can get her to start eating some of this Royal Canin BabyCat mousse. You may have to mix a little formula in with it in the beginning to get her interested in eating it. If you did a quick switch from the old to the new food this could definitely cause diarrhea, especially if no other symptoms are present. You can try going back to the old food until the stools form again and doing a slow transition to the new diet over a week. If the diarrhea occurs again this is likely not a good food for Olaf. Some animals with diet related diarrhea may benefit from a probiotic. A few commonly used in pets are fortiflora and proviable. Certainly if the symptoms do not get better, get worse, or are accompanied by blood in the stool and/or a decreased appetite/vomiting/lethargy a visit to your veterinarian is recommended. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I think that dietary indiscretion as you pointed out could certainly be a possible reason for Eddie to having diarrhea. You can try to switch to a sensitive stomach type diet like the Science Diet healthy development diet for kitties. If no improvement is noted then I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment as other things are possible like intestinal parasites. Good luck!

Diarrhea in kittens can be due to a variety of reasons, including intestinal parasites, dietary indiscretion, food intolerance, a virus or another underlying issue. I would recommend Oreo be evaluated by a veterinarian to determine the underlying cause for her diarrhea, have any necessary testing done (fecal analysis, etc) and start any treatment (dewormer, antidiarrheal, probiotic) that she may need to help resolve it. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! While adding fiber to the diet can firm up the stool, I do not recommend feeding dry bran to your cat as it can cause constipation. Daisy may be having runny stool due to parasites or inappropriate diet (too many treats, human food, etc) or because she only eats soft food. Because she is a little older, I recommend having her seen by a vet to rule out intestinal inflammation, cancer, and maldigestion.
