My cat has an infected cyst. Can I give aspirin? What to do now?

No, please don't give your cat over the counter medications. Cats are extremely sensitive to them and you will not be able to get a dose small enough for a 1 pound cat. It is not recommended you give any medicines over the counter. If this was from an ingrown nail then he will need some antibiotics. It is likely infected which is why it is swollen. He really needs to see a vet for this issue. That way he can get the proper treatment. In the meantime you can soak the foot in an Epsom salt bath for 5 minutes 2-3 times per day. I would not recommend giving your cat aspirin as it could do more harm than good. The best thing you can do at home for Nino is to make sure the area is cleaned thoroughly to prevent infection. You could also put some topical antibacterial ointment on it (like Neosporin). If you feel like Nino is very painful and/or the ear seems infected he probably needs to be seen by the vet.

Poor Coco! The main thing is to make sure she isn't messing with it (i.e. chewing, scratching or licking). I would put a cone collar on her or a baby t-shirt to help prevent this. It will never heal if she doesn't stop messing with it. I would also consider some Benadryl to control the itching. See link below for dosing.
