My cat got hit by elliptical. Is he hurt or will he be okay?

It's very difficult to know what his condition is, there could also be head trauma which is always an issue in this type of accident. if you believe he is lethargic, having trouble moving around or is lacking of appetite i would recommend taking him to the vet urgently.

I would recommend you take him to your veterinarian as soon as possible for an exam, especially if he's acting like he's in a coma. I would also look for his pupils to be different sizes or any vomiting. However, he isn’t the first cat to do this and it wasn’t the type of trauma to cause serious injury. Kisses to Archie!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If he had a fight with another cat he could have suffered an injury that does not appear apparent at this time. However, it would be best to have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to examine him to see if he appears to be painful for example which could be a reason to become lethargic and less interactive. He could also be somewhat traumatized by that encounter which he could potentially eventually get over. However, I still think that he should be evaluated. Good luck and have a good night! Hello, I am sorry this happened to little Shaman. With any head trauma you can see signs and concerns develop over the initial 12-24 hours as swelling can take time to occur in the head. If Shaman is eating/drinking, playing and acting normally, you can monitor for now, as long as you will be home and around to monitor Shaman. If you see Shaman vomiting, weak, tired, wobbly, not playing, not interested in food or other concerns, I would have Shaman seen right away. With no clinical signs at 50 minutes you are unlikely to see any concerns, however just keep a close eye on Shaman. Good luck with him!

Kittens are pretty resilient, & we often see these heart stopping accidents with absolutely no serious effects to the cat or kitten. If the kitten seems comfortable, no difficulty or abnormal breathing, then he should be fine. I would be worried Leo hurt himself. I would take him into the emergency clinic right away to make sure he didn't injure something internally or suffer a concussion. Hopefully its nothing that serious but its best to be safe. I hope Leo is ok!
