My kitten fell and is now vomiting and peeing blood. Is he okay?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 6 months and 27 days old

I have a 7 month old male kitten, he tried jumping from the couch to the kitchen table but didn’t fully make it and fell back onto the ground. He threw up a little after, and then about 15 minutes later he urinated blood and threw up again. Could he have hurt himself from the fall or is it something else?

I would be worried Leo hurt himself. I would take him into the emergency clinic right away to make sure he didn't injure something internally or suffer a concussion. Hopefully its nothing that serious but its best to be safe. I hope Leo is ok!

    It sounds as though Leo hurt his belly/bladder area possibly. This is unusual after a fall for a cat. He must have hit himself very hard. Another possibility is that it has nothing to do with the fall and he is having trouble urinating. Cats vomit and urinate blood if they have a urinary obstruction (unable to urinate) which is a life threatening condition. If the bloody urine and vomiting is from trauma then watch him closely. If you have other cats, isolate him in a room by himself, so you can monitor urination, vomiting and appetite. If he seems normal after 24 hours then let him out. If he vomits again, there is more blood in his urine, he is lethargic, not eating, or is having trouble urinating he should see a Vet immediately.

Vuk, your kitty needs to be taken to a veterinarian right away. This is an emergency. It is possible that lary was hit by a car, especially if there is fresh blood from the anus. Please find a veterinarian tonight, (even a large animal vet will help) to give fluids, take pain and give at least supportive treatment or euthanize your cat if she is very badly hurt. I am so sorry your cat is so ill.

Oh no, poor Ezra! This is a medical emergency and he needs veterinary attention now. It's extremely serious he is vomiting blood and bleeding when he urinates. He could have gotten into something toxic such as rat bait poisoning causing his symptoms. This could be fatal without treatment, and there is nothing you can at home for home. He has to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

Injured kitten peeing blood, vet found no internal bleeding. Why?
Poor Otis. I recommend to have Otis examined by the veterinarian again today. Sometimes the bladder can be injured or even ruptured and the blood could be related to that and may need to be addressed quickly. The doctor may need to take another radiograph to check for a bladder rupture. I hope he gets better quickly and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Poor Leo! He could be bleeding from the urethra due to trauma from the catheter and the surgery. Given that he is eating and peeing, I would monitor him for now. Take him into the vet if the bleeding continues, if he has trouble peeing, or he stops eating.

My 1-month-old kitten was stepped on, now vomiting & unconscious.
That is very concerning and he needs to be examined by a vet to determine the extent of his injuries and determine the best way to treat. Please call your vet or take him to an emergency clinic so he can be examined right away. He may need an anti-inflammatory and other medications to treat the trauma.

This is an emergency. You need to take your kitten to a pet ER right away. Small kittens can die very quickly from injuries but they can also recuperate very quickly if treated properly. It is important to find where the blood comes from and how serious the injury is. The fact that the neck is hurting is especially concerning. Please take your kitten to an emergency veterinarian now.
