Why is my cat hiding, not eating, and won't walk or be touched?

It sounds like Rosalie may be in pain. If this is a new behavior and if she continues to eat and drink well, it may be OK to watch her for a day to see if the signs resolve. However, if she does not improve or if she stops eating and drinking, becomes lethargic or starts vomiting or having diarrhea, you should get her to a veterinarian immediately.

Hello Matthew! I am sorry to hear about Spotty. I would be very concerned about her. Cats are usually very good at hiding their pain, so if she is obviously yelping she is definitely in pain. I would recommend an examination by a veterinarian as soon as possible. They will do an exam and try to localize the pain to a certain area. I am concerned about her abdomen due to her lack of appetite. Things that would concern me in a young adult cat such as Spotty are foreign boys in the intestinal tract (did she eat a toy or a ribbon etc) or possible kidney infections. The vet will most likely want to do some bloodworm and possibly some radiographs (x-rays). If she hasn't been eating or drinking, she might need some supportive care such as IV fluids.

It sounds as though Tommy may be in pain if he is unable to walk normally, refusing to eat, and hissing. Cats often isolate themselves when they are experiencing pain. It would be best to take Tommy to a vet for a physical exam and any necessary diagnostic tests to try to determine why he is experiencing these issues so that proper treatment can be started. If this abnormal behavior continues, and especially if she continues to refuse food, then you need to have her evaluated by your veterinarian. Your vet can get a detailed history, perform a physical examination, and recommend a diagnostic/treatment plan. A minimum database would be fecal/blood/urine tests and possibly some x-rays. Many things could contribute to this including pain, fever, toxin exposure, infection, among others. Good luck with Rosie.

It certainly sounds as though Grey is not feeling well! Inappetance, hiding and vocalization can indicate a number of underlying conditions, but hyperthyroidism is at the top of the list. I recommend taking Grey to her vet for an exam and lab testing (CBC, chemistry, T4/thyroid hormone, urinalysis) to get to the bottom of things. Cats can develop hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) when the stop eating, so her condition is fairly urgent.

Without a physical exam, we cannot localize pain. However, since Honey is not eating she may have a gastrointestinal cause of discomfort. The best thing to do is follow up with your veterinarian as soon as possible.

I strongly recommend you have Nova to your vet for an exam. When cats hide that means they are sick. If she doesn't eat/drink she will get dehydrated which will only make the problem worse. Her symptoms are too vague for me to give you any indication as to what may be going on. That is why a vet exam is important.
