How much food should I give my cat per day and how many meals?

As long as it's a cat food (and not a home cooked diet or dog food) that's perfectly fine. Cats need an amino acid called taurine that other animals don't need to eat directly, so it's very important that they are on a cat food. Great question! You have two options with feeding Uli. There will be a daily allotment of food to be fed on her food bag, and you can either leave the food out all day for her to eat whenever she wants, or you can divide it up into two equal portions. Give one of the portions in the morning and one at night. At her age, she should still be on a kitten formulated food. Once she is 12 months of age, you can switch her to an adult food. I can understand your dilemma here. You can try offering her 1/4 cup 3 times a day and see if his curbs her hunger. The food recommendations on the bag are more like guidelines. I would also recommend weaning her off the milk over the next week, because she is old enough where she doesn’t need it after 6 weeks of age.
