Why does my cat follow me into the bathroom and meow constantly?

Spunky loves and just wants to be with you! He's curious as to what you are doing, and is following along. This is all normal, even drinking from the bath. I have cats that love to drink from the faucet.

Interesting question! I would think that it's possible that seeing you in the shower with water all over might make him a little nervous, but I would guess that it's a little more likely that he just wants to be near you. He might also be curious about the water and the shower. Many cats like to play or drink water from the shower once the water is off.

This sounds like a behavior he has developed. This will not hurt him but if you want to stop the behavior, I would recommend keeping the bathroom door closed at all times so that he does not follow you into the bathroom. If he becomes too persistent, then I would recommend using a can filled with coins and just lightly shake it in your hand to startle him and say "off!" when he attempts to jump up on you. Is your kitty unspayed? Oftentimes, extra friendly behavior and meowing go along with a kitty that has not been fixed. Having her spayed might help stop that behavior. Make sure she is eating ok and not having any vomiting or diarrhea or lethargy that would make you worry. Any chance she already had babies and wants you to follow her to the babies?

She loves you. Cats are, contrary to common opinion, not solitary animals. Cats love their owners, some more , some less and some get so attached that they do not want to be separated from their "mommy". I have one like that too. She always has to be around me and when I am not in sight or away she meows and looks for me (with a sock in her mouth....)

These are pretty common behaviors for a young cat. Cats are often nocturnal/playful at night, and the its very rare for cats to greet their people when they come home. As far as following you around, and crying for you when you're gone, you are probably her favorite person! I don't think you have anything to worry about with her. You can add some environmental enrichment things to help keep her occupied/ entertained, and this may help.
