Why is my cat's eye turning brown? Could it be old ear medication?

I accidentally put Auri goutte (french) ear medication in my cat's eye some time ago when we believe she had a fight with our other cat and may have gotten scratched; She was keeping the eye closed and blinking for a few days afterwords, but then seemed fine; this all happened a couple months ago. I just noticed that part of that (right) eye is a light brown color when the other eye is all light blue.

Hello. I do not think putting the medication in the eye months ago is causing this situation with Lily now, but you definitely need to have this checked out by your veterinarian. A color change can indicate the presence of uveitis, a general term used to describe inflammation in certain parts of the eye. There are several possible causes or underlying diseases that can cause this, but only a thorough ophthalmologic exam will diagnose the problem. I hope you can have her seen soon. My cat got ear mite medicine in her eye. What should I do now?

It is really hard to tell by the pictures but I think one of her pupils is small and the other is dilated. This is called horners syndrome. Sometimes we are unaware of the cause but it can be linked to ear infections. I would recommend taking Lily to the vet to make sure she does not have an inner ear infection. It is possible she has an ear infection (inner or outer) with ear mites. Horners syndrome usually resolves with time but a ear infection would need antibiotics.

My older cat's eye changed color and is red. Is she going blind now?

Color changes in the eye can be something benign like iris freckles but it can also indicate a cancer called an iris melanoma. I recommend to get Prada into the veterinarian right away for an exam. If you catch things early, you have a much better prognosis. Other issues, if its not the iris, could be conceal edema, or glaucoma. Both require treatment. Why is there a dark, spreading spot on my aging cat's iris?

There are a couple of possibilities here for the changes to Creo's iris. One is iris atrophy, which is a normal aging change. This can often result in pigment change and a "moth-eaten" appearance to the iris or an irregular iris border. Another would be a uveal cyst, which is a darkly pigmented circular lesion that can be attached to the iris. Both of these are generally benign. If you notice any changes in Creo's vision, changes to the eye, or signs of pain (squinting, redness, swelling, etc.), have him re-evaluated by your vet just to be safe.
