Cat drooling, inflamed gums after fight. Vet said it's fine?

When a cat gets into a fight, they often get bit, and bacteria from the other cat's mouth can cause an abscess at the bite site. Those are very painful to cats, and would cause them to be nauseous and lose their appetite. I would take Shammo into a vet today for an exam.

No if he was infected with rabies it would take much longer than that to have clinical signs. I would be more concerned about him having hurt his mouth in some way, or perhaps be somewhat sedated if he's on any pain medications. If it continues, I'd recommend going back for a recheck to see if they can see anything different in his mouth now that it's been a few days.

Poor Papacino! I would agree, it sounds like he may have been in a fight with another animal. Since he appears to have a wound of some kind in his face and is acting painful, I would recommend taking him to the vet today for an exam. He will likely need antibiotics and pain medication to treat the wound and make him more comfortable as it heals.

Poor Floquinha, pictures can be very difficult to interpret but it looks like she may have pulled to skin away from the gums. I would recommend a vet check to ensure there is no infection or debris in the wound but at this late stage surgical repair may not be possible with treatment aiming to keep the area clean and allow secondary wound healing.

You need to take Lioncio into a vet immediately to have this treated. If the bite is pretty deep, I'd be very concerned about infection. Infections frequently occur from bites. This will also be painful him, and you cannot give him any OTC pain medications. Many of them are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. He should have veterinary care now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. I would be most suspicious of a calicivirus infection causing these signs. Calicivirus is a vaccine preventable disease that is mostly seen with kittens. This virus will cause ulcers in the mouth, which will cause it to bleed a little. This disease is often self-limiting, but can cause severe ulcers in certain cases, so it will definitely be good for the vet to check them in the next day or two. It's likely not an emergency though, so they should be fine to wait until then. I hope that helps and all is well with the cats.

There may still be inflammation in his mouth causing the drooling. I'd give it a few more days to see if the drooling improves. If not please take him in for a recheck to make sure the gingivitis has improved. He may need additional antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medication.
