My cat is drooling blood, face swollen, not eating. Was it a fight?

When a cat gets into a fight, they often get bit, and bacteria from the other cat's mouth can cause an abscess at the bite site. Those are very painful to cats, and would cause them to be nauseous and lose their appetite. I would take Shammo into a vet today for an exam.

I am sorry to hear about Stitch. Based on your description I would recommend having her examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible. I would be concerned about possible head trauma/brain injury, injury to the eyes which can be very delicate and if left untreated can result in permanent damage/loss of vision. It also sounds like she has significant swelling of the face. This is likely very painful even if your cat is not showing obvious pain (cats are very good at hiding pain) imagine if you had been mauled as your cat had. The vet can prescribe pain medication to help Stitch feel more comfortable, antibiotics if needed to prevent infection, and may also booster Stitch's rabies vaccine if it has not been done recently and this dog is of unknown vaccine status.

There are certain diseases that can cause these signs such as pancreatitis and GI foreign body ingestion. These are only a few possibilities. I highly recommend that you have Peeka evaluated by your veterinarian so that a diagnostic plan can be formulated based on her physical examination. This will likely include bloodwork and abdominal radiographs and/or ultrasound. A treatment plan will follow based on the findings. Make sure that Peeka is drinking water to avoid dehydration.
