My cat just had deformed, attached kittens. Should I call the vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 1 day old | 3 lbs

My Gaara just gave birth a few days ago.. 3 of the kittens is deformed and one of them is attached to a leg and another kitten belly is attached to the body. 1 of the kittens died , do I take them to the vet to remove and separate them? I don't see the mother trying to do anything to separate them

With these types of deformities it is best to take them to the vet to see what structures are involved before removal is attempted. I would not let the mother over groom or lick or it may separate them also.
