With these types of deformities it is best to take them to the vet to see what structures are involved before removal is attempted. I would not let the mother over groom or lick or it may separate them also.

I would use a piece of thread to tie off the chord a little above the belly buttons (where is attaches to the kitten) then use scissors to cut the chord off (away from attachment). It will be fine. The stillborn kitten will be fine if you just cut it. For the alive kittens you should tie off a few millimeters above where it attaches to the body. I hope this helps!

Although the pictures are not very clear it does indeed look like there are significant birth defects in the facial structure which may not be compatible with life. I recommend a full physical exam by a vet as soon as possible in order to assess long term prognosis. Birth defects can arise for many reasons including genetic issues, exposure to toxins during development of kittens or in some cases for no apparent reason at all. I would consider neutering the mother to prevent passing on any genetic predispositions in the future

She needs to see a vet now to get this kitten removed and to have help giving birth to her other kittens. Leaving her like this will cause the death of this kitten and any other kittens left to be born. Please take Molly and her first kitten into a vet immediately. You can take her to an ER vet or find a vet on call in your area to see her if your regular vet is closed. The information to find a vet on call is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. Best take the litter and mom to your vet and have the legs of the kitten assessed. Depending on the type of "bend", it may be possible to put them into the right position with orthopedic aids. Without seeing the deformation in person and being able to palpate or xray the legs, it is not possible to assess it. Best make an appointment with your veterinarian.

This is very unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear your momma cat has lost her kittens. I would suspect that there was something affecting the mother that infected the kittens in utero. There is probably not much you can do to save the 2 remaining kittens at this point. You may want to consider taking them to the vet to be checked out and see if it is something treatable. At home just continue doing your best by supplementing their feedings if necessary, stimulating them to potty if the momma is not, and keep them warm and dry. I hope this helps. A single closely bred litter of kittens is unlikely to carry major genetic defects as long as the parents of the kittens were not also closely bred (which as rescues it may be impossible to know). If you do not intend breeding in the future, I would contact your vets office as soon as possible and they me willing to do an emergency spay operation
