Is it safe to take my cat camping and leave her in a tent?

It sounds like Skye is all squared away for her adventure. Just be aware of the temperature and her level of stress. Make sure she gets a break and is offered water. Begin with very small walks and increase the duration if she is tolerant of them. I would also make sure she is microchipped in case she gets loose.

If you have someone that can bring her food at least once a day, you can leave her at home without any problem and this would be the best option, otherwise you could take her with you but she might get stressed from the car ride and the new place.

That depends on your cat. If she’s very sociable and travels well then bringing her with you is fine. If she’s nervous I recommend keeping her at home and having someone come in daily to take care of her. Cats often don’t like change and lots of noise. Please make sure she’s eating, drinking, and using the litter box daily. When stressed cats can develop urinary problems or constipation. If you decide to take her make sure you set up her food and litter in a quiet place away from the children and family activity. I would recommend having a friend or neigbor come to check on her daily to be safe. We never know what can happen if they are gone, they can knock their water over, get themselves locked in a closet (I have seen this multiple times), etc. so it is best to have someone at least check on her during that time period. As far as weather goes, I do not know your climate. If you do leave windows open be sure they have secure screens so she cannot get out and wild animals cannot get in.

Oh no! That is a scary situation. I recommend you bring your cat with you. You may not know how long you'll have to vacate your home and even if you leave food or water out if Luna is stressed and scared she may not eat or get very sick. Or if there is flooding you could leave Luna behind to a very dangerous situation. It's definitely the better idea to bring Luna with you. Oh no. That isn't good. Cats are very unpredictable; therefore, I would air on he side of caution and feed the kittens if need be. If the kittens are less than 2 weeks of age you want to make sure they are also kept warm (but don't overheart) and I would recommend wearing gloves when handling them to avoid masking their scent, which can lead to mama cat rejecting them when she returns. It is a foreign place for her so she has an increased likelihood of getting lost or injured while outdoors. You can try to go searching for the Mama cat as well. Take a can of tuna with you to see if you can entice her to return. Also leave a way for mama cat to easily enter the house, if you can, just in case she returns and no one notices. It sounds like Buddy was pretty stressed during the trip and it is concerning he didn't eat or drink for two days. When a cat doesn't eat going on 72 hours, they will develop a fatty liver which is fatal without treatment. If he acts like that while camping, I would avoid taking him so he doesn't stop eating for a long period of time and develop a fatty liver. It may be he's fine with it at home because it's a familiar area with normal smells and sounds, but camping is too stressful for him.
